Instant Pot Honey BBQ Wings
These Instant Pot honey BBQ wings are fall-off-the-bone, juicy, and a crowd pleaser! I got the idea after my aunt made honey BBQ wings in the slow cooker. My boyfriend, Andy, is a wing fanatic. He’s a picky eater, so it’s good to know he won’t say no to these Instant Pot honey BBQ wings.
You can make them in the slow cooker, but it’s so fast to make them in the Instant Pot pressure cooker. For one, there’s no worry about defrosting chicken wings. They go from frozen to done quickly and easily. That’s why I use my Instant Pot over my slow cooker. I’m terrible at getting meat defrosted before dinner. This one saves me!
Make The Best Instant Pot Chicken Wings Fast!
I wouldn’t say I like spending the whole day cooking. We live in a pretty hot apartment. So, even in the winter, I wouldn’t say I like using my oven too much. I can get the best chicken wings done in no time thanks to my Instant Pot.
Instant Pot Instructions
Dump all your ingredients in your Instant Pot. Make sure your valve is set to sealing.
For frozen chicken wings, set pressure to high for 15 minutes. Set pressure to 10 minutes if you’re using thawed chicken wings.
After time goes off, do a quick release by carefully moving the valve from sealing to venting (I use a long wooden spoon to do this). Remove the lid. Be careful.
Place the cooked chicken wings on a foil-lined baking sheet and baste the chicken wings with the honey BBQ sauce.
Broil them for about 5 minutes. Or place them in your air fryer for about 5 minutes at 400 degrees. The wings will caramelize and get a touch crispy. Turn them over, baste again, and go for another 5 minutes.
