Air Fryer Salmon

When you think about what an air fryer can cook, you normally don’t think about salmon. The truth is that air fryer salmon is the most underrated air fryer meal you could ever imagine. Frying salmon in the air fryer results in some of the best, most tender, juicy, and tasty salmon you’ll ever have.

This air fryer salmon recipe is very simple, easy to make, and a quick meal for any night of the week. Let’s learn how to make air fryer salmon:

How to Make Air Fryer Salmon

First, you’re going to prepare your salmon. Make sure you pick salmon filets that are about the same size. I recommend 1 to 1 and ½ inch salmon filets. You want to take them out of the fridge and have them at room temperature for about 30 minutes to one hour.

Remove any bones that your salmon has (if at all). Take the oil and rub down each side and then season each filet with salt, lemon pepper, and paprika.

Put the filets in the air fryer, about one or two at a time to avoid overcrowding. Don’t ever pile salmon filets in the air fryer.

Set your air fryer to 390 degrees Fahrenheit for 7 minutes. Once the timer goes off, check for doneness with a fork. Serve with rice and veggies for this delicious and healthy weeknight meal.

How Long Do I Cook Salmon in the Air Fryer?

The air fryer not only gives salmon a delicious color but also seals in the juice and tenderness. 390 degrees Fahrenheit should fare well for air fryer salmon. If you have leftovers, just reheat the salmon for a few minutes at the same temperature.

Do note that cooking temperatures do vary depending on the size/weight of your salmon. So, always double-check so you do not under or overcook your salmon based on the size I have listed.
